Police Seek Four Robbers Who Beat Victim, Forced Him to Open Safe

The victims returned home while the robbery was happening.

Police today sought public help to find four men who broke into a Manhattan Beach home while the residents were away and confronted them upon their return, beating one of the victims and forcing him to open a safe.

Officers went to the 100 block of Morningside Drive about 12:05 a.m., said Manhattan Beach police Sgt. Paul Ford, who said the suspects gained entry into the home by breaking a lower-level window.

“When the residents returned home, they were confronted by the suspects,” Ford said. “Both victims’ hands were tied, and the male victim was beaten.”
