MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Rite Aid will open 161 additional COVID-19 drive-through testing sites across 13 states tomorrow, according to the company. Nearly 100 locations will open in California. Rite Aid locations opening a testing center in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas include stores in Westwood, Compton, Gardena, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Anaheim, Fullerton, La Habra and Costa Mesa. Rite Aid has partnered with Verily and will use its Baseline COVID-19 Program to provide screening, scheduling, and results.
The testing sites will use self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists, and will operate between the hours of 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All adults 18 years of age or older, even if they are not exhibiting virus symptoms, are eligible for testing and can begin preregistering online now to schedule a testing time slot.
