Snow In Manhattan Beach? White Stuff Blankets El Porto Area Beach
Was it falling snow and hail pellets that rained down in El Porto, particularly on the beach, leaving a white carpet in Manhattan Beach?
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — While there's no official word yet, photos taken of a carpet of white blanketing beach sand in Manhattan Beach and some white specks floating through the air prompt the question: Was it snow? Was it hail? Was it both?
Indeed, hail was captured both falling and on the ground in El Porto in Manhattan Beach, especially on the beach and beachside parking lot in North Manhattan Beach on the border of El Segundo.
Los Angeles County Lifeguards tweeted about it as did other folks who captured the scene of falling white floating specks and slushy hail pellets that hit hard and looked more like ice than snow.

Amazing HAIL photos from Manhattan Beach from a strong thunderstorm that moved through. Expecting more reports of small hail from any of the stronger storms today. https://t.co/ZPycvH1TXZ
