MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A crew with the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors has quite the story to tell. And there's no doubt they'll be telling it for years... to family and friends and anyone who will listen.

So, what did they see and experience? Snowfall in Manhattan Beach at the Rosecrans Avenue Maintenance yard, where they work, situated right on the beach, on the sand, and where fleeting flecks of snow fell on Friday, Jan. 29, in what is one of the rarest scenes to ever hit Manhattan Beach.

No one for certain has said it was snow — but there are those who say it was — or that at least some of what fell could be classified as snow.
