Strand House, Rock'N Fish Reopen Thanks To Manhattan Beach's Help
Two restaurants that temporarily closed when the outdoor dining ban took effect have reopened due to a new City of Manhattan Beach policy.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Strand House and Rock'N Fish, which had previously closed their doors temporarily on Thanksgiving when Los Angeles County decided to ban outdoor dining for three weeks, have reopened thanks to a new City of Manhattan Beach policy allowing the public to eat "to go" food in areas previously used by restaurants to serve their diners.
Said Owner Michael Zislis, who had kept his two other downtown Manhattan Beach restaurants open during the ban, "Following the Governor's new orders, being outdoors is great. Come down and enjoy the beautiful open air parklets and support [restaurant] staff!"
Zislis recently started a program to help his laid off staff from Rock'N Fish, before the new parklets were announced as a way for the public to dine outdoors with their food "to go" orders. That program, which gives 50% of $100 or more in a gift card purchase to the Rock'N Fish staff, will still be in operation through Tuesday, Dec. 14.
