Today Is Last Day To Vote For Best Businesses In Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Today [Sunday., Nov. 8] is the last day to vote online for The Best of Manhattan Awards, the annual awards program that honors the best Manhattan Beach businesses as voted for by the community. This year, the awards will be chosen by one single round of voting for nominations and not multiple rounds as in the past, according to organizer Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce. The businesses that receive the most nominations in each category will become the finalists.

Nominations began Wednesday, Oct. 28 and go through 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8. The three businesses that receive the most nominations in each category will become the finalists. Finalists will be announced by Thursday, Nov. 19 and the finalists that receive the most nominations will be announced as the winners on Sunday, Dec. 13 in a yet-to-be announced online program.
"Now more than ever, the importance of recognizing excellence has been magnified by the extreme challenges that the pandemic has forced upon us," said Kelly Stroman, president/CEO of the MB chamber. "Although we cannot meet in person this year to celebrate the very best, we can still recognize the outstanding efforts in the business community."

Nominate The Best of Manhattan in each of the six categories:

• Positive Pandemic Pivot
• Women-Owned Business
• Dine MB (outdoor version)
• Small & Mighty
• Healthy Living
• Best of Manhattan

In addition to the six categories in which the community votes, the BOM Committee will identify and announce the Bob Meistrell Local Legend Award and The Chamber Member of the Year Award, and has added a special 2020 recognition of the Manhattan Beach fire and police departments.
