MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —It's a gorgeous day to hit the surf. Here's an update on surf conditions from Surfline via the South Bay Dawn Patrol.

Look for a long period of SSW swell tops this morning, and winds are light/variable

There will be consistent waist-chest-shoulder high lines on the walled side for better exposures in the northern half of the bay, while top breaks there are seeing some better sets, according to Surfline.

Spots further south in the bay are facing the southerly swell so waves there are weaker.

For the rest of the day, surf size will hold steady, but moderate westerly winds will be ruffling up conditions for most of the afternoon.
