Two Manhattan Beach Residents Graduate From Colgate University

One is a former student from Mira Costa High School; the other attended Vistamar. Colgate University is a residential liberal arts college.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Two Manhattan Beach residents were honored in a virtual ceremony in May as members of the Class of 2020 at Colgate University during the school's 199th commencement. Veronica Chen, a graduate of Mira Costa High School, and Ariana Lear, a graduate of Vistamar School, graduated from the "residential liberal arts institution distinguished by its commitment to global engagement, student-faculty research, off-campus study, sustainable practices, and utilizing technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience."

Colgate offers 56 majors, has approximately 3,000 undergraduate students and supports 25 Division I athletic teams. The university's 575-acre campus is located in rural central New York.
