Urban Plates Serves Presidents & First Ladies, Manhattan Beach!
Urban Plates, with a location in Manhattan Village Shopping Center in Manhattan Beach, catered to 3 US Presidents & 1st Ladies yesterday.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Urban Plates delivered a bipartisan play when the chef-driven, fast casual restaurant brand's team crafted its healthy, made-from-scratch fare for three US Presidents and First Ladies on President Joe Biden's Inauguration Day. Presidents and First Ladies Barack and Michelle Obama, George W. and Laura Bush, and Bill and Hillary Clinton enjoyed an Urban Plates lunch ahead of the service at Arlington Cemetery.
On behalf of the presidents that ate lunch, Urban Plates will donate 129 meals to frontline healthcare workers: 42 for President Clinton, 43 for President Bush, and 44 for President Obama through their Nourishing Heroes program.
“Our mission is to make craveable, wholesome, and clean food accessible to all,” says Urban Plates Co-Founder and CEO Saad Nadhir. “We are proud to have delivered on that promise to three former presidents, first ladies, their supporting staff, and a group of Arlington Cemetery groundskeepers and workers on Inauguration Day.”
