Vehicle And Residential Burglaries Top Manhattan Beach Crime

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Crime appears down ever so slightly for the week of Nov. 2-9, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department in their latest Facebook Crime Report. Only one residential burglary took place along with three vehicle burglaries and one stolen vehicle.

The stolen vehicle was unlocked and the keys left inside. It was taken from the 3400 block of North Valley Drive. The residential burglary was a forced entry in the 1200 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard. All three vehicle burglaries involved smashed windows; one in the 700 block of 15th Street, one at Ocean Drive and 27th Street, and one in the 300 block of 45th Street.

One assault did take place and it was at the corner of Rosecrans Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway bordering El Segundo. Ten thefts were reported. In those thefts, two catalytic converters were taken, three were shoplifting incidents happened as did one fraud. In one theft, the stolen item was left unlocked, according to MBPD.
