What Do You Want To See In New Manhattan Beach Monopoly Game?

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —There's a new Manhattan Beach-themed Monopoly game in the works and the company creating it wants your suggestions on how to customize it.

Game company Top Trumps is creating the new game under license from Hasbro.

"Manhattan Beach residents have a lot of pride in their city," Top Trump VP of sales Scott Whitney told Patch. "The city is a gem and the perfect theme for Monopoly."

A former Manhattan Beach resident, Whitney has made several suggestions for items to be included in the game. "In the game, the dark blue squares represent the most expensive places, and The Strand has been suggested as one of those squares," Whitney said.

According to Whitney, the game will be released the week of October 25-29, will retail for $39.99, and will be sold at CVS stores, local surf shops, and independent gift shops in the area.

"There are so many iconic locations in Manhattan Beach, and we want to make sure to capture the local flavor," Whitney said.
