Zillow Report Puts Manhattan Beach Homes In Exclusive Category

The "typical" Manhattan Beach home price is $2 million+, according to Zillow, whose annual list puts the city in the $1 million+ category.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — An annual report by Zillow has moved Manhattan Beach real estate in an exclusive category in which the "typical" home in a city is worth $1 million or more. In November, Zillow's list of nationwide cities with such $1 million price tag properties increased by 45 from the previous year.

Million-dollar communities in the Los Angeles and Orange counties region increased by five over the previous year's report, due in large part to low mortgage rates. Real estate during the pandemic has fared well in higher-priced markets.

Manhattan Beach boasts a $2.64 million price for a "typical" home, up 7.8% in one year. The $2.64 million price puts the city at number six on the list for the LA/OC region. The only cities to place higher are

  • Hidden Hills: $3.66 million, up 10.4% in a year.
  • Beverly Hills: $3.66 million, up 8.4% in a year.
  • Malibu: $3.38 million, up 5.4% in a year.
  • Rolling Hills: $3.31 million, up 9.5% in a year.
  • Newport Coast: $3 million, up 3.8% in a year.

  • Hermosa Beach: $1.95 million, up 9.2% in a year.
  • Santa Monica: $1.76 million, up 4.3% in a year.

  • Rolling Hills Estates: $1.53 million, up 8.2% in a year.
  • El Segundo: $1.53 million, up 14.0%
  • Rancho Palos Verdes: $1.41 million, up 7.0% in a year.
  • Marina del Rey: $1.33 million, down 5.5% in a year.
  • Culver City: $1.26 million, up 7.0% in a year.
