Six people thrown from an outrigger canoe which overturned in hazardous seas outside of Marina del Rey were rescued Tuesday night.
Personnel aboard a Los Angeles County fire boat, Baywatch del Rey and a
Coast Guard helicopter were able to rescue all six victims from the water about
7:45 p.m., according to Bryan L. White of the sheriff's Marina del Rey Station.
They were treated for hypothermia and taken to the station, White said.
