Cloudy Afternoon, Love Ride Accident and Patch's Halloween Contest
The National Weather Service says it will be cloudy and cool today, but Santa Ana winds are moving in later this week and will bring warmer temperatures.

Today is Oct. 25. It is the 298th day of the year. We are under a waning crescent moon. Sunset wll occur about 6:09 p.m. Here are five things to know:
1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 63 with a chance of drizzle late tonight and an overnight low around 54 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Wednesday morning with gradual clearing for sunny skies in the afternoon and a high around 66 degrees.
2. A 51-year-old Marina del Rey man who was participating in the Love Ride charity motorcycle event and his female passenger were killed over the weekend when their motorcycle collided with a tractor-trailer. Details right here.
