Ballona Wetlands Bird Walk

The two-hour tour in the Ballona Wetlands offers people a chance to visit the nesting sites of the  Great Blue Heron and Black Crowned Night Heron.

People will also get a chance to catch a glimpse of Sandpipers, including Long-Billed Curlews, Willets, and Western Snowy Plovers.

Call (310) 322-6951 to register or for more information. Pre-registration is required. Visitors will be shuttled in a van to the bird-watching site. The meeting location is at the Burton Chace Park lobby.

Parking is available in County Lot #4, located at 13500 Mindanao Way, at a rate of $0.25 for every 15 minutes.
