Famous Venice Sign to Be Lit for the Holidays Tonight
The 4th annual sign lighting event includes lots of fun activities near Windward and Pacific avenues.

The Venice Sign, a federally registered trademark, will be lit up Friday, with festivities beginning at 6:15 p.m. and the actual lighting ceremony set for 8 p.m., according to The Argonaut.
A special celebrity guest will pull the ceremonial switch with Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin to turn the famous sign’s colors from its usual white to a festive red and green.
Actor Robert Downey Jr., actress Anjelica Huston and pop-rock star P!nk are among the celebrities who’ve helped flip the switch. Tonight’s guest remains a mystery.
