WESTCHESTER, CA — It took firefighters about 31 minutes to knock down a fire at a Westchester home early Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

The fire broke out about 8:02 a.m. at 8357 S Vicksburg Ave., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said. Flames were knocked down by 8:33 a.m.

"Despite well-entrenched flames and excessive personal storage greatly hampering their movement within the 1,742 square-foot one-story home, 43 LAFD Firefighters took just 31 minutes to confine and extinguish flames in the rear of the home and attic," Humphrey said.
