Lloyd Taber-Marina Del Rey Library Reopening

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Library reopenings are coming to Los Angeles County, including Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library.

The Los Angeles County Library announced Sunday that 30 of its 85 libraries will reopen for in-person service beginning May 10, bringing the total number of reopened libraries in the county system to 60.

Libraries will reopen at limited capacity — only 75%. People are still required to maintain six feet of physical distance as a precaution against COVID-19.

The goal is to prioritize equity and consider reopening libraries in underserved areas where residents use in-person services.

The following libraries scheduled to reopen starting May 10 include:

• A C Bilbrew Library, 150 E. El Segundo Blvd., Los Angeles
• Gardena Mayme Dear Library, 1731 W. Gardena Blvd.
• Norwalk Library, 12350 Imperial Highway
• Acton Agua Dulce Library, 33792 Crown Valley Road
• Hacienda Heights Library, 16010 La Monde St.
• Paramount Library, 16254 Colorado Ave.
• Agoura Hills Library, 29901 Ladyface Court
• Hermosa Beach Library, 550 Pier Ave.
• Pico Rivera Library, 9001 Mines Ave.
• Artesia Library, 18801 Elaine Ave.
• La Canada Flintridge Library, 4545 North Oakwood Ave.
• San Gabriel Library, 500 S. Del Mar Ave.

Outdoor programming for a limited number of participants will begin in early summer 2021 and will be available at select libraries. County residents can visit LACountyLibrary.org for library hours, services, additional openings, safety protocols and scheduled events and programs.

The city of Los Angeles Public Library system will begin a phased reopening of the Central Library and 37 other branches for in-person services beginning Monday.
