Marina Peninsula Remembers 9/11 with Memorial Flags

Catamaran Street on the Marina Peninsula is better known for its rambunctious parties, but the walk-street has been turned into a thoughtful remembrance of 9/11 victims.

Catamaran Street in the Marina Peninsula has been the scene of many a fun party, but the walk-street took a more somber tone Sunday when it became a memorial for Sept. 11 victims with a flag planted for each person killed in the terrorist attacks a decade ago.

Two neighbors spearheaded the effort and were up to the wee hours Sunday morning creating the memorial, said Catamaran Street resident Julie Du Brow.
