Missing San Gabriel Man's Vehicle Discovered In Marina Del Rey

A 69-year-old missing man from San Gabriel's vehicle was discovered in Marina del Rey. Officials are asking the public to help find him.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — A 69-year-old San Gabriel man who suffers from diabetes and needs medication was reported missing Thursday morning.

Alan Rust was last seen about 9 a.m. Friday in the 5500 block of Walnut Grove Avenue, near East Broadway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Rust is described as white, 5 feet 6, 175 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and black shirt and red shorts, the department said.

Rust's vehicle was found in Marina Del Rey Wednesday.

Anyone with information on Rust's whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500.
