Cash, Computer and Canvas Bag Stolen

A 24-inch Apple computer worth $3,000, $1,500 in cash, four jewelry boxes and dining ware were stolen from a home Aug. 4 with a neighbor reporting suspicious behavior, according to a sheriff deputy's report.

The burglary took place between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. and a neighbor told deputies afterward that a man had knocked on her door about that time and said, "Oh, sorry, I got the wrong house."

The neighbor said the man walked away and into a tan vehicle across the street with another man inside. A few minutes later, the neighbor saw both men leave the vehicle and walk up the driveway of the home that was burglarized.

One man was described as having brown, braided hair with red tinting and was wearing a white T-shirt and grey sweatpants. The second man was stocky and was wearing a blue tank-top, long blue shorts and carrying a gym bag.

Two bedrooms were ransacked and a suitcase was taken after clothes had been removed from it. Deputies believe the suspects entered through a bedroom window and left though a back door that they left unlocked.
