Police Blotter: Tires Screwed and Gucci Gone

The crime theme in and near Marina del Rey in recent weeks continues to be theft, as these accounts demonstrate. All the crimes occurred within the patrol area of the .
Tires Screwed
A woman told sheriff's deputies that someone drove screws into all four of her vehicle's tires and broke her passenger side rear-view mirror, according to a deputy's report.

The woman said the vandalism occurred sometime between April 19 and May 28 and caused about $1,000 in damage.
The victim told deputies that she's had problems with her ex-boyfriend who lives next door.

Gucci Gone
A $1,500 Gucci watch was stolen about June 6 from a home after someone forced open a rear sliding door, according to a deputy's report.
The thief ransacked the master bathroom, and drawers and other items were scattered on the ground. The watch and $250 in cash were taken.
The burglar entered and exited through the sliding glass door. A print deputy was called to look for fingerprints.
No arrest was made.
Laptop Stolen
A $900 laptop and a portable credit card reader were stolen from a vehicle around June 2 after someone broke into the locked car, according to a sheriff deputy's report.
The victim said she had parked and locked her vehicle in front of her home and when she came out at 6 a.m. on June 3, she saw the trunk wide open. The driver's side door window was shattered and clothes that were supposed to be shown at an event that day also were gone.
No arrest was made.
