Real-Time Results: Burke Leads CA Assembly District 62 Race

Democratic incumbent Autumn Burke is leading the race against Republican challenger Robert Steele, according to preliminary results.

Democratic incumbent Autumn Burke was leading the race for Assembly District 62 and cruising past Republican challenger Robert Steele, according to preliminary results early Thursday.

Burke has 81.19% of the vote, with 125,787 votes. Steele has 29,135 votes.

Assembly District 62 includes Venice, Marina del Rey, Mar Vista, part of Santa Monica, El Segundo, Inglewood and Hawthorne.

Burke was appointed Chair of the California State Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation in 2018. She was first elected to the state assembly in 2014.
