SigAlert Issued On 405 Freeway After Suspect Crashes Car And Runs
Redondo Beach, Torrance and Los Angeles police were chasing a suspect near the San Diego (405) Freeway Monday afternoon.
WESTCHESTER, CA — A SigAlert was issued on the 405 Freeway near Westchester Monday after Redondo, Torrance and Los Angeles police were chasing a suspect who crashed a car and ran inside a Wendy's, according to media reports.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. near the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway and La Tijera Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. A K-9 unit was searching the neighborhood near the crash for the suspect.
A SigAlert was issued and the offramp was closed for an unknown duration, CHP reports.

A driver at the scene reported the suspect was involved in a crash and then ran out of the car through the window toward Wendy's at 7360 La Tijera Blvd., near the freeway.
Oh my :O I was on my way home on the 405 and caught the tail end of it. The guy zoomed passed us, LAPD made a clean cross all five lanes. The dude "tried" slowing down but collided into the back of a car and flipped. He scooted out the window and ran.
