Sunny Afternoon, Summer Solstice and Blog for Us
The summer solstice is today, when we get the most hours of sunlight of any day of the year.

Today is June 21. It is the 172nd day of the year. We are under a waning gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 8:09 p.m. Here are five things to know:
1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 68 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 63 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Wednesday morning before gradually clearing to sunny with a high near 71 degrees.
2. Happy Summer Solstice! Today will bring the most hours of sunlight of any day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Learn more about the summer solstice right here.
3. Jerry is our featured Pet of the Week from Forte Animal Rescue. He's shy at first, but once he gets to know someone he's super friendly. Learn more about Jerry here.
