Warm Afternoon, Young Boater Safety and Del Rey Council Meets

The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for warm weather today and cooler temperatures Friday.

Today is Sept. 8. It is the 251st day of the year. We are under a waxing gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 7:11 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 63 degrees. Forecasters expect cooler weather Friday with an afternoon high near 71 degrees.
