What's Up: Free Concert, Upcoming 405 Closure, Food Truck Lineup

Here are five things to get your Thursday started in Marina del Rey:
- The free Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series continues Thursday night with a performance by the Marina del Rey Summer Symphony beginning at 7 p.m. in Burton Chace Park.Â
- Orange County Transportation Authority officials were working this week to raise awareness of an upcoming 20-hour weekend closure of a segment of the San Diego (405) Freeway. The freeway will be closed in both directions from 9 p.m. Aug. 17 through 5 p.m. Aug. 18, from the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to Valley View Street in Westminster.
- The weekly Beach Eats food truck event continues this evening with a full lineup of food trucks set up at Mother's Beach from 5-9 p.m. Food trucks include a variety of cuisines including lobster, Mexican food and Asian-fusion dishes.Â
- The Marina del Rey Farmer's Market takes place today from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Marina Beach parking lot. Get your fill on local produce and other items during the market.Â
- The National Weather Service predicts mostly cloudy skies in the morning with the sun coming out in the afternoon. Thursday will see highs in the upper 60s and lows overnight in the lower 60s.
