1 Dead In Capitol Corridor Train Collision With Vehicle

The incident happened between the Martinez and Suisun City-Fairfield stations and was delaying trains, according to Amtrak.

BAY AREA, CA — One person in a vehicle was killed in a collision with a Capitol Corridor train near Suisun City Thursday morning, a Solano County sheriff's spokesman said.

The collision happened on Chadbourne Road in unincorporated Solano County around 8:15 a.m. sheriff's Deputy Daniel "Cully" Pratt said.

Amtrak spokeswoman Olivia Irvin said there were 56 passengers on train No. 527, which was traveling from Sacramento to San Jose. Train 529 was accepting passengers from train 527 as of around 11 a.m., according to Amtrak.
