CHP Pursuit Ends With Crash

Two suspects suffered major injuries after trying to escape a California Highway Patrol unit Friday morning on Highway 4, according to a CHP report.

A CHP patrol spotted a car driving recklessly around 1 a.m. The patrol unit tried to pull over a Toyota Solara, but the suspect driver attempted to flee. The driver lost control of the Toyota neat Alhambra Avenue and crashed.

The suspect driver was taken by ambulance to Highland Hospital, while a passenger was airlifted to a hospital in Fairfield. An update on their conditions was not immediately available.
