Join the library as we explore the writer Ernest Hemingway and his enduring Influence. Inspired by the premier of the Ken Burns and Lynn Novick documentary Hemingway: The Man, the Myth, the Writer Revealed premiering on PBS on April 5th, we will be reading the author’s early novel The Sun Also Rises.  

The Sun Also Rises is a classic example of Hemingway’s spare but powerful writing style. The story journeys from the wild nightlife of 1920s Paris to the brutal bull-fighting rings of Spain with a motley group of expatriates. First published in 1926, it is the quintessential novel of the Lost Generation. 

You are invited to read along with us through April and participate in our Hemingway Book Club discussion of The Sun Also Rises on Tuesday, May 4 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Zoom.
