Dow Fire Doused In Crockett

CROCKETT, CA — Firefighters contained a brush fire Sunday in Crockett to 1/8 acre, Cal Fire said.

The Dow Fire was first reported around 6:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Dowrelio Dive and was believed to be 1 acre.

Firefighters with Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and Cal Fire stopped the forward spread of the blaze by 7 p.m.

Crews had it 100-percent controlled by 8:30 p.m.
