A bit about Mickey: I had wanted a dog for years, and I would go to the homes of friends and spend the whole time playing with their dogs, but it just wasn't the same. Finally after all the years of having doggy fever, I decided it was time that I finally got a dog of my own — my first dog. I was always scouring the PetFinder website and saw dogs I liked, but when I saw Mickey, I knew that this was My dog. The rescue group I got him from had a deal in which the dog stays over night before you choose to adopt them. However, within the first night we clicked and we were best friends. He began to follow me everywhere and nuzzle me and slept in my bed that very first night. There was no way I could give him up then. Having come from an abusive past, he has some quirks that are challenging, but it makes him special and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
