Flaring: Normal Operations Resume At Phillips 66 Rodeo Refinery

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The Phillips 66 San Francisco Refinery in Rodeo in unincorporated Contra Costa County was undergoing flaring late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

A company official said on a community hotline that a unit was being started up and that residents in the area may see flaring. The flaring was visible from as far away as Vallejo.

A shift supervisor confirmed the flaring was ongoing, but didn't provide any other information.

Refinery operations were reported as normal at 5:13 p.m., according to a call placed by Patch to the hotline.
