Hidden Gem: La Primavera Mexican Restaurant

This family-owned, colorful restaurant has been serving up authentic Mexican food in Martinez for more than 20 years. Have you discovered it yet?

Tucked away on Pine Street is a Mexican restaurant bursting with local color and flavor. La Primavera is family-owned and operated and has been serving up authentic Mexican dishes in "a warm and friendly environment" for more than 20 years.

The outside of the building offers no hint as to the color and vibrancy awaiting inside the restaurant, where every wall is painted with murals of Mexican village scenes, rainbows, birds and more. 

Breakfast is served until 11 a.m. and includes traditional Mexican dishes like Huevos Rancheros as well as pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and hashbrowns.

The lunch and dinner menu includes all the usual Mexican favorites and combinations, as well as an array of seafood dishes and traditional eats. View the menu on the La Primavera website.

Local Specials: The breakfast dish Huevos A La Azteca for $8.55 consists of two enchiladas with an egg on top. The Fajitas "La Primavera" offer bacon-wrapped shrimp topped with special sauce for $12.95.
