Man Fatally Struck By Capitol Corridor Train In Contra Costa Co.
Passengers aboard Amtrak Capitol Corridor train 520 were transferred to another train following the fatal incident.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Passengers aboard Amtrak Capitol Corridor train 520 were being transferred to another train Tuesday morning after a man was fatally hit on the tracks.
The man was hit about 6 a.m. on the tracks just north of Richmond in unincorporated Contra Costa County, according to Amtrak and Union Pacific officials.
The man's name has not been released.

There were no reported injuries to passengers or crewmembers.
Passengers were being transferred to train 521, an Amtrak spokeswoman said.
