ABOUT THE EVENT:
The Martinez Historical Society and the Contra Costa County Historical Society are co-hosting the first ever Martinez Archives Crawl in celebration of American Archives Month (which is October).

Attendees or “Crawlers” tour among four host archives in Martinez, gathering stamps in their passports as they learn to research, find cool things found only in an archive, visit with archivists, and go on special behind-the-scenes tours.
All locations are within walking distance from one another, making this an easy and fun day for all ages!
Participating exhibitors: Alhambra Cemetery, Contra Costa County Genealogical Society, National Park Service-John Muir Site, Historical Societies from: Clayton, Concord, Crockett, Point Richmond, and the Richmond Museum of History.
The Scavenger Hunt
The Crawl will be offering a scavenger hunt for students grades K-6 and 7-12 as well as adults. Scavenger hunt participants will answer archive and history related questions for their age group at each location. Each participant with the correct answers will be entered into a drawing with a chance to win an i-Pad or i-Pad Mini.
