Martinez Gallery - Opening Reception

The Martinez Gallery’s new show Abstraction & Expressionism opens Friday, August 28 with a reception from 6p-9p. The public is invited to meet with the artists and enjoy refreshments. The new show runs through October 12.

The Martinez Gallery is housed in the historic Sharkey Building adjacent to the County Courthouse. Anyone visiting the gallery will see a variety of artworks — from painting, photography and art glass to jewelry and fabric art — and will have the opportunity to meet and chat with one of the artists who regularly staff the gallery.

The artist co-op and gallery was founded in 2007, and currently has 20 members vetted by a jury of their peers.

The non-profit gallery is a branch of the Martinez Art Association (MAA) and donates 15% of sales as Art Grants & Scholarships to local schools. Located at 630 Court Street, the gallery is open Monday-Saturday from 11a-3p.
