Martinez Man Shot, Killed In East Oakland

A reward is offered for information leading to an arrest in the killing.

OAKLAND, CA — A Martinez man was killed in a shooting late Tuesday night in East Oakland, police said Wednesday.

Officers responded at 10:12 p.m. to the 1700 block of East 19th Street, near San Antonio Park Field, after police received a report that someone had been shot.

Officers located the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and he was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

The man's name was not available Wednesday from the Alameda County coroner's bureau. He is the 69th murder victim this year in Oakland, according to police.

Crime Stoppers of Oakland and Oakland police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the killing.
