Martinez Students To Be Honored On Tuesday

MARTINEZ, CA — Forty three East Bay high school students will receive Students of Excellence Awards for their outstanding achievement in their ROP/CTE (Regional Occupational Program / Career Technical Education) classes, including three students from Martinez. The students are Aidan LaHonta, Sam Millson, and Josh Peacock.

The students attend 25 different schools in Contra Costa and Alameda counties, according to the Contra Costa County Office of Education. In addition to the certificates of merit, each students will receive and a $300 scholarship. Money for the scholarships was provided by Chevron, Phillips 66, John Muir Health, Walnut Creek Honda, and C & H Sugar.
