MARTINEZ, CA — The polls — and ballot boxes — are now officially closed for the 2020 presidential election. Among the races in Martinez were for three school board seats.

Two candidates, Carlos Melendez and Jonathan Wright, vied to represent Area 1 of the Martinez Unified School District.

Two candidates, Anne Horack Martin, Kathi McLaughlin competed to serve as the trustee for Area 2 seat, while the candidates to represent Area 4 were Steeve Boulingui and Courtney Masella-O'Brien.

In the race for the Area 5 seat there were three candidates: Josh Barker, Jeremie Ginelli and Brandon Collins.
