The city is participating in Earth Hour and encouraging residents to switch off for an hour at 8:30 p.m. What will you do in the dark? Share your ideas (and keep it clean!)
If you're participating in , you'll be switching off the lights at 8:30 p.m. local time along with millions of other people around the world in an effort to save some energy.
Martinez is one of the only three cities in the East Bay officially taking part in Earth Hour. The other two are Albany and Hayward.
