Shell Says Oil and Gas Spill Contained On Site
There was "a small release of flushing oil and gas" over the weekend, according to Shell. Two workers suffered minor injuries.

The Shell Martinez refinery is reporting that an oil and gas leak over the weekend was contained on site.
The refinery posted on Facebook and on the Shell Martinez blog that there was "a small release of flushing oil and gas" late Friday evening. Communications Manager Steve Lesher said the incident took place around 11:45 p.m. April 5 and two employees suffered minor injuries. Both have now returned to work.

Late last night, refinery personnel reported a small release of flushing oil and gas at the facility. The equipment was isolated and the material was contained on-site with no impact to the community. Two co-workers received medical treatment as a result of the incident and both were released to return to work. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation.
