The Most Expensive Home For Sale in Martinez

Home prices continued to rise this summer, although the pace of home sales slowed.

In the Bay Area, the median price paid for a house in June was $555,000, the highest level since December 2007. The figure was 33 percent higher than June 2012, according to a report from DataQuick.

In Contra Costa County, the median price was $415,000, a 31 percent rise from a year ago. In Alameda County, it was $540,000, a 44 percent increase, according to DataQuick.

In Martinez, the median price for a home sold in June was $395,750, up 4 percent from a year ago, according to the website RealtyTrac.

The most expensive house we could find on the market in Martinez was this five-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 5371 Stonehurst Drive.

The 6,275-square-foot residence on 1.8 acres is listed at almost $2.5 million, more than six times the city's median price.
