Thousands Lose Power In East Bay Due To Weather

BREAKING: Businesses and homes throughout the Bay Area affected.

BAY AREA, CA – Wind and rain heading into the Bay Area has already caused thousands of residents and businesses to lose power this morning.

In the East Bay, as many as 11,500 PG&E customers lost power, mainly in the Richmond and San Pablo areas. As of 7:15 a.m. 10,700 were still without power, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

In the North Bay, more than 3,800 customers are in the dark as of this morning, including near Six Flags Discovery Kingdom where 2,049 customers are affected.

On the Peninsula, 3,800 PG&E customers lost power overnight, mainly in Burlingame, Millbrae and Redwood City.

There were no significant power outages reported in the South Bay or in Santa Cruz beach area.
