CHP Reminder: Be Safe, Menlo Park; Take Advantage of These Free Rides Home
There are a variety of free ride options around the Bay Area for New Year's Eve revelers.

The following information was submitted for publication on behalf of the CHP Golden Gate Division:
As you make plans to celebrate tonight’s festivities, ensure that you have designated a sober driver to get you home safely. You don’t want to start 2015 in a jail cell.
If you forget to designate, and find yourself needing a sober ride home, take advantage of the many free ride options listed below. Never get behind the wheel while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol. It’s not just your life that hangs in the balance.
Free Ride Options around the Bay Area:
- San Francisco Muni
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5 AM
- Muni Metro runs late until 2:15 AM
- SamTrans
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5AM
- Caltrain
- Free Rides from 8PM until the end of service
- Extra trains after midnight, last departure from SF at 2:15 AM
- Santa Clara VTA
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5AM
- AC Transit
- Downtown Oakland B Shuttle
- Free Rides from 7PM until 1AM
- AAA’s “Tipsy Tow” Program
- Free tows up to 10 miles, even for non-members.

- Flywheel Taxicab Service
- Flat Rate $10 rides up to $50 value when using Flywheel app - Parking in SF:
- All metered parking free on New Year’s Day, and all street cleaning will be cancelled!
