The Bridgepointe Ice Rink is threatened to be demolished soon by developer SPI Holdings who is seeking to replace the rink with retail stores. The land the rink sits on is designated as ICE RINK only and the City Council of San Mateo can vote to keep the rink for the community. 5. Please attend the Important City Council Meeting on March 7th at San Mateo City Hall: 330 W 20th Ave, San Mateo, CA and tell everyone you know who cares about our rink to show up for this very important City Council meeting.
6. Write letters to all of the local newspapers on why this rink is important to keep for our growing community. Email addresses are on our website under “How You Can Help.” Also, email the City Councilmembers and let them know why keeping this rink is important to you! Email addresses are there as well.
