Keep Your Dog On a Leash, Say Menlo Park Police

Police are on alert for unleashed animals.

Menlo Park Police officers are reminding dogowners to keep their pets on a leash.

"Dogs are permitted to roam free on private property," said Nicole Acker, Menlo Park Police Spokesperson.

"However, when a dog is off private property, it must be leashed at all times except in designated areas. Free-roaming dogs might be considered a hazard to pedestrians and are in danger of being struck by cars," Acker explained.
