Menlo Park Man Accused Of Brandishing Shotgun

A call to police led to the arrest of a Menlo Park man accused of brandishing his shotgun, police said.

MENLO PARK, CA — A call to police led to the arrest of a Menlo Park man accused of brandishing his shotgun Friday morning, police said.

Police dispatch received a call around 11:36 a.m. Friday, reporting a man with a gun on the 1100 block of Laurel Street. The caller said the man had brandished a shotgun at them.

Police responded and surrounded the area, eventually finding the man at his apartment.

Police searched the apartment and found the shotgun, which was taken as evidence. The man, Donald Matthews of Menlo Park, was arrested, cited for brandishing a firearm, and released.
