No Small Matter Documentary Film & Panel Discussion

A powerful documentary on early childhood education followed by a conversation with local educators, families, and leaders.

No Small Matter is a documentary built from stories of real children, families, and teachers, illustrating the impact of high-quality early childhood experiences. In the film, we meet parents who are struggling to do their best for their kids, incredible teachers who model what early childhood classrooms should and could be like, and children learning and developing in real time. Together, we learn the science behind what’s happening in children’s brains as well as the economics of investments in early learning and care. No Small Matter is unique in the way it dives deep into the complicated science, history, and sociology that has brought our early care and education system to where it is today.

Please join us on January 22nd at 6:30 PM at Hillview Middle School in Menlo Park for an evening that features both this powerful film and a panel discussion with local early learning educators, preschool parents as well as San Mateo County Office of Education Superintendent Nancy Magee and San Mateo County Supervisor David Pine. Together we can learn about both the challenges and opportunities for high quality early learning options for all families in our community.

Free on-site childcare, provided by Steve & Kate's Camp, is available for potty trained children. Please order as many childcare tickets as you need for your children, in addition to your general admission ticket. To register, visit http://bit.ly/NoSmallMatterMPCSD.
