PG&E Announces Weekend Power Shutoff Announced Near Menlo Park

The Public Safety Power Shutoff ​could last longer than 48 hours.

MENLO PARK, CA — PG&E will disconnect power for up to 65,000 customers in San Mateo County starting 7 p.m. Saturday. Though residents near Menlo Park may be affected, it appears the city itself is spared, according to PG&E's outage map.

The utility said the shutoffs may last longer than 48 hours, and Santa Clara County advised residents to prepare for up to seven days without power.

Residents can visit pgepspsmaps.com/addresslookup to check whether their address will be affected, and view PG&E's outage maps here, although the maps only show approximate information.
